Triple Crown Excellence Award Presented to Chris Payne and Scripted During Week II of 2018 Winter Equestrian Festival
Wellington, Florida February 1, 2018 — As the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida gets underway, Triple Crown Nutrition has been on the lookout for standout competitors to receive their Triple Crown Excellence Award. During the second week of competition, the company found their winner in a beautiful dark bay hunter named Scripted.
A twelve-year-old gelding, Scripted is owned by Melissa Jacobs and was shown by trainer Chris Payne. “He’s a very cool horse. The less you do, the better he goes. He just has an amazing jump,” says Payne.
The pair showed successfully in several classes, but won the Triple Crown Excellence Award for their ride in the $600 Performance Working Hunter 3’6” class. Payne explained that the jumps in the ring where this class was held were not as impressive as in some of the other rings, causing some horses to jump them with less enthusiasm than they normally would, but Scripted tried just as hard as ever. “He just likes to jump really well,” says Payne.
Triple Crown was impressed with this talented gelding and proudly presented him with the Triple Crown Excellence Award. As a company that is committed to high-end nutrition for equine athletes, Triple Crown appreciates all the effort that goes into a successful show horse such as Scripted.
Payne and owner Jacobs were thrilled to receive the award from Triple Crown and to have Scripted recognized by such a renowned feed company. “I’ve heard great things about Triple Crown, and I look forward to getting some more information on their products,” Payne said.
