Erin Gemmill found Cowboy Mounted Shooting just 2 years ago, at a New Shooters clinic.   Erin is a Ladies Level 1, and will be competing along with other members of the Western Washington Mounted Shooters at the 2014 CMSA Western U.S. Championships in Las Vegas, July 30 – August 2nd.

Think “barrel racing with guns,” but instead of just 1 basic pattern, mounted shooting has approximately 60 different patterns. Shooters from all over the United States will compete over a 4 day period, each in their own division. The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the best Mounted Shooters in the country, in a sport that is the most rapidly growing equine event in the nation. CMSA will air a live feed of the event, via Digital Dave Video at http://www.cmsaevents.com/home/.
