It can be challenging to ride when the season changes and temps drop. So the Kerrits design team set out to keep you protected and comfortable in the saddle no matter what the weather. The Storm Shelter Barn Jacket is the answer to help you transition through the seasons. “No one really wants to do barn chores or school a horse when rain is coming down sideways,” said Kerri Kent, owner and designer for Kerrits Equestrian Apparel. “And horse care is a seven-day-a-week job.” Built with Hydrotek™ fabric, the all-season shell is wind and waterproof with critically sealed seams and breathability for active wear. It sports a feminine silhouette in the saddle with back tabs that cinch in at the waist and snapped vents that cover the cantle, offering a custom fit. Contrast stitching gives an added touch of fashion and the two-way front zip has magnetic closures. The Storm Shelter Barn Jacket is loaded with storage and has dual entry, large cargo pockets so items can go in from either the top or side. The stow-away hood is removable and the jacket is machine washable. “The lightweight shell is rugged, yet soft and quiet—perfect for layering on chilly days or worn as a windbreaker for warmer weather,” added Kent. “It’s a limited edition for our fall/winter season only.” The Storm Shelter Jacket sells for $179.00 and is available through retail outlets.
