Competitors Shine in Monroe

by Sam Etsell

After 402 runs, the WRHA wrapped up the Classic in Monroe, Washington. With a solid turnout and good sponsors, competitors came home with a slew of prizes. The WRHA would like to thank our show sponsor, Kevin Montgomery and Sky River Equestrian Center for making this weekend happen. Taking home the top honors in the open maturity was Dee Lally aboard self-owned, Working For Chex. In the non-pro maturity, Colby Powell took home the big check riding Chics In Demand, owned by Skyler Powell. Bringing the title of open classic champion was Darren Stancik riding Its Pardee Pine for owner Kevin Montgomery. In the non-pro classic, Debbie Estrin showed Ruf Starbuck to win the class. For the second year in a row, the John Slack Memorial Beginner Rider buckle went to Lacey Swanberg riding Reining in Seattle, owned by Charles Schramm. We would like to thank Schramm for sponsoring the buckle in this class. The WRHA thanks everyone who volunteered and helped the show run smoothly. We can’t run a show without all of you; thank you for all the support. If you would like to volunteer, please let us know! The WRHA is always grateful for the support of all sponsors: Diamond Sponsors, Woodley Ranch, Timberland Homes, Maria Danielli, and Northwest Weight Loss Surgery; Platinum Sponsors, Horse Vidz Productions, Eve Willett Agency Insurance, and Seaview Automobiles; and our Gold Sponsors, Bariatric Advantage, Coastal Community Bank, and Stancik Quarter Horses. Information on WRHA can be found on the web at www.wrha.net or follow us on Facebook.
