Super Horse Challenge offers over $5,500 in Prize Money!

July 2014We are excited to announce that October 3-5, 2014 the Northwest Washington Fair in conjunction with 2 Red Pony Productions will be presenting the NW Washington Super Horse Showdown. Competitors will be showing off the versatility of their horses as they each race towards being crowned the super horse. This series of competitions are the highlight of The Showdown and offers something for all levels including youth, seniors, novice and open riders. Besides cash prizes there are great gifts and prizes for all who enter.

This event will replace the Lynden Horse Expo and Draft Horse Spectacular and will include ranch sorting, barrel racing, pole bending and a cowboy race all in one weekend. Compete in just one event or try them all. Craig Cameron will be on hand for our 3rd year of Extreme Cowboy Racing and expert mustang trainer Brent Rollins will participate as well. Both will host mini clinics to participate in or watch. Instead of the traditional one hour demo/clinic format, this year we are offering 3 days of 3-4 hour clinics with your clinician of choice. Spots are limited so you will want to get your entry in quick!

Other crowd pleasing events include a draft horse pull on Friday night and an event on Saturday that will include community members, competitors and businesses. Don’t forget shopping. This year’s vendors will be handpicked for an outstanding shopping experience. For more information on this event, including how to participate, contact MJ Turnbull or Selena Burgess at [email protected] or (360)961-9727 or the NW Washington Fair 360-354-4111.
