Washington Association Of Competitive Mounted Orienteering

Competitive Mounted Orienteering is a timed event where either individuals OR teams go on horseback, using a compass & map to find hidden objectives spread out over several miles of the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula!
All riders welcome: Bring your own compass, horse, feed, water & lunch… AND a roll of toilet paper to donate to the camp facilities!

Pre-ride compass instructions for those who would like help.

Overnight camping available with stock pens & water, pit toilets, tables and picnic shelter.
DNR Discover Pass REQUIRED

Draw Time: 9:30 AM
First Rider Out: 10:00 AM

REGISTRATION FEES:
NACMO Annual Member: $15.00 per Rider
Families w/Juniors: $10.00 per Rider
Non-members $15.00 + $5.00 Ins. Fee per Rider
Non-member Juniors $10.00 + $5.00 Ins. Fee per Rider

Long & Short Course Available:
Long Course ribbons thru 6th Place
Short Course ribbons thru 3rd Place

Directions: From I-5 take either Hwy. 16 to Hwy. 3 or Hwy. 101 to Hwy. 3 toward Bremerton. Stay on Hwy. 3 North and take the CHICO WAY exit, turn LEFT and go WEST about .5 mile and make a RIGHT on NORTH LAKE WAY. At wedge stop go RIGHT till SEABECK HWY. and make a RIGHT. Go 2 miles and make a LEFT on HOLLY. Stay on HOLLY for 4.1 miles and Make a LEFT on TAHUYEH LAKE ROAD. Go approx. .85 miles to t5h3 BLUE GATE on your LEFT. Follow signs and gravel road (GM-1) to the Horse Camp and parking areas.

Friday arrivals prior to 4pm use caution logging trucks coming and going. Looks like their main road comes out onto mainline at the Tin Mine creek bridge on GM1. After 4 Fred will have the gate dummy locked–come in and close it behind you.
