Register for Horse & Dog as Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced according to YOUR decision on how well disciplined your dog is in Obedience to your instructions *off-leash* as he accompanies you while you ride your horse through the simple trail challenge pattern that will be offered.
There will be weaving through serpentine poles or cones, a bridge to cross and other simple tasks, all at a walk. You will ask your dog to heal along the left side of your horse; cross the bridge in front of you; stop and wait for you at designated locations, and other simple tasks.
EACH Participant will take their turn within the fully fenced Dog Field and will have the Dog Field to themselves to execute the Trail pattern.
ALL DOGS must remain on leash AT ALL TIMES until it is the Owner’s turn to enter the Dog Field to ride the Trail pattern within the fenced area. Dogs will be put BACK ON LEASH before exiting the Dog Field.
There will be a staging area adjacent to the Dog Field so Participants can watch the progress of the Event as they wait their turn.
This will be a FUN event with ribbons given to the 6th place in each Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced category.
