WSHP Hopes to Upgrade and Improve Trail Course

By: Park Staff

Calling all trail obstacle enthusiasts! In addition to Washington State Horse Park’s riding arenas, trail system, and cross-country courses, the park also has a trail obstacle course that complements the natural wooded setting. Most of the 15 obstacles were designed and built with the help of Mark Bolender several years ago.

We would like to add more variety to our obstacles and are looking for help to design and develop new features. We also would like help organizing trail obstacle clinics and competitions so riders of all ages and experience can build their skills and have fun. It’s not too soon to start focusing on the 2019 season, so let us know if you are interested in being involved. Please contact Leslie Thurston at 877-635-4111 or [email protected].

The Washington State Horse Park is a public-private partnership, not a government or privately-owned facility. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization owned and operated by the horse community we rely on support from horse lovers to thrive. Please email us with your thoughts and availability as we continue to develop the park.
