Backcountry Horsemen Tahoma Chapter Prize Ride on September 10
th. This family oriented event is open to all equestrians and combines a great trail ride with lunch and the opportunity to win $750 in cash prizes as well as a generous selection of prizes donated by local merchants. The prize ride is one of the largest in the state with over 400 participants expected. Following the 3 hour ride a BBQ lunch is served and riders can visit the various vendors which will include the Outfitter’s Pack Station trailer.  “Trailmeister” Robert Eversole will also be on hand to answer questions.

Back Country Horsemen is a national non-profit 501(c)3 organization made up of local chapters. The Tahoma Chapter, located in Maple Valley, assists the Forest Service, Department of Natural Resources, and County agencies to build and maintain trails and trailheads. The group also organizes trail rides on local and backcountry trails. The chapter meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Maple Valley Grange Hall. Visitors welcome.
