About Animals as Natural Therapy
Over the last 15 years Animals as Natural Therapy has touched the lives of thousands of adults and youth, many of whom are under-served, at-risk and low-income. The experiential learning model practiced at Animals as Natural Therapy is based on the knowledge that animals can help humans develop important life skills such as mutual respect, trust, clear communication and leadership. At Windy Acres Farm, a peaceful, secluded spot is provided that offers unique healing work for the animals and their human partners. The ultimate goal is for individuals to learn to become a positive, powerful force within the community’s schools, families and workforce. Animals as Natural Therapy continues to make a difference by directly transforming the lives of more than 400 youth, families and veterans annually.
