Esther BellI lost my mom on Monday, January 23rd. She lived a very long and happy life, surrounded by so many lives she touched. She was my encouragement when I felt I couldn’t go on. She was my proofreader in our earlier years, support at trade shows, washing linens for the trade show booth, packing snacks for our road trips and always a shoulder to lean on when I was overwhelmed.

Her understanding and compassion for others taught me to seek the good in others, always expect the best in people and learn to be patient when I wanted things “right now.”

Esther lived her life with a passion for serving others. No one entered her home without being fed and cared for. She loved her family and lived for time spent with all her kids, grand kids, and even great grand kids. She walked with God and made him the first priority in her life. She spent her entire life supporting those around her.  She tirelessly nurtured six children and walked beside Wayne (Dad) as he pastored numerous churches in small communities and directed  Child Evangelism in Seattle. Following their move to Whatcom County Esther spent 25 years supporting her son Bob in business as bookkeeper. After her retirement, she spent years proofreading The Northwest Horse Source Magazine. In her last years she shared what resources she had to support children through Starfish Ministries and Rebound of Whatcom County, which her daughter Sharon leads. She spent her last days expressing concern for each of her children and praying for their wellbeing. She has finally been reunited with Wayne, the love of her life together at last in the presence of their Lord and Savior.

She will surely be missed but in our hearts forever. I love you mom!
