New Year’s Goals (January 17th)

I'd like to share my New Year's Goals

I would like to attend Quarter Horse shows, along with my husband, and attempt to earn ROM's in barrel racing and perhaps qualify for the World Quarter Horse show.  My husband can also show his horses in reining type classes.  I'm also attending a barrel-racing clinic with Jessi Mead to assist with this goal.  Neither my husband nor I have attended a Quarter Horse show.

In response your question, what do you plan to do this year with your horse that you have wanted to do and it gets put off?

I love to ride everyday and enjoy Gods beautiful country.  Things have gotten in my way and I keep getting derailed.  This year I am planning a trip with a friend  and we are taking the horses with a couple of pack horses on a pack trip.  We are going to ride everyday leaving from La Pine heading out on the BLM and Foresty trails.  Our plan is for a one month ride.  It could be longer, it could be a little shorter.  Central Oregon has so much to offer, we want to see it by horseback.  No trailers, no campers, no vehicles.  It is going to be a memory of a lifetime for both of us.
