Count Your Blessings
November 30, 2005
This time of year we are given the opportunity to pause and reflect on the blessings we often take for granted. Our Canadian readers recently celebrated Thanksgiving, and south of the border we will be celebrating later this month. Normally, it is easier for me to focus on the blessings, but this year I find it harder.

The Tides of Change….
October 31, 2005
The tides of change are constantly shifting. Sometimes the changes are subtle. The days are shorter, there’s a chill in the night air or the leaves show a tinge of red. Some changes we take for granted and embrace.

Go Have Fun with Your Horse!
May 26, 2005
This month’s issue is dedicated to recreational riding – having fun with your horse. We’ve got advertiser’s who offer great places to stay and ride, writers who share their knowledge and experiences about horses, new products on the market and people who can help you with your horse. So take some time to read, and then hit the trails!

For our Youth..
April 30, 2005
As we focus on youth I’m reminded that they are our future. Today’s children are tomorrow’s hope. This issue brings a fresh, innocent perspective from our young people. We’re excited to include the results from our Youth Essay Contest.

Wellness
March 31, 2005
Maybe it is just having survived the winter flu season, but I’m reminded of the importance of a focus on ongoing “wellness” – the proactive and preventive side of overall health. My recent return from a week away reminded me how important it is to cultivate health and mental rest.

The Joy of Babies
February 28, 2005
I’m sitting on the floor surrounded by boxes of photos and photo albums. Going through pictures looking for baby photos is certainly a trip down memory lane. In the past few years I’ve raised seven foals.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
December 31, 2004
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. This is the time of year when we drag out our decorations for tree, house, barn and yard! It’s invigorating to wake up to a frosty or snowy morning, put on a pot of coffee, wrap up well and tromp out in the crisp air to feed the horses.

A Season of Thankfulness
