![]() From My Saddle From My Saddle The world looks better from up here. Perspective has changed. There’s hope! It’s funny how much clearer things look from the back of a horse. My mare’s injury this spring and my auto accident in July have made for a frustrating summer. I’m thankful that both my horse and I are able to begin the journey back to riding together. We are so fortunate. As the holiday season approaches I’m thankful for the lessons of this past year. Dealing with a growing business is both a blessing and a trial. Moving from handling most things myself to being dependant on others for help has been a difficult journey for me. Communication is hard work and hasn’t always been my forte. I’ve prided myself in my self-sufficiency and am now coming to the realization that people are my biggest asset. It is really quite freeing. I appreciate all the readers and advertisers who have been on this journey with me. More than anything we want to give you a publication that meets and exceeds your expectations! We’ve moved to a new printer in an effort to improve print color. We’re building a team that can serve you even better! For me it has been worth the wait. I have also had a lot of help and support from friends and family through this learning experience. Congratulations to our EquiMasters winners! Luana Anderson-Lubchuk of Lubchuk Arabians won a one-year online Stallion Promotion. Diane’s Equine Services won a one-year online Internet Promotion. Thanks for stopping by to see us at EquiMaster’s in Puyallup, WA. We’re working on reformatting the Equine Marketplace into a concept that will make it easier for you to find just the product you are looking for. We will introduce that to readers in January with our Annual Stallion Issue. We are currently running a two for one special in the sale arena with online FREE. So if you have horses, tack or equipment to sell, give us a call for some of the best coverage in the Northwest! Take time during this joyous holiday season to pause and reflect. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. -Karen Pickering Copyright © 2009 The NW Horse Source |
