World Renowned Horse Gentler Joins Up With Local Non-Profit Organizations

Monty Roberts, a world renowned horse gentler and the best selling author of The Man Who Listens to Horses, will demonstrate his nonviolent horse training methods during an event to benefit Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association of Langley, BC.

The demonstration will be held at 7:30pm, Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Pacific National Exhibition Agrodome, 100 N. Renfrew (behind Pacific Coliseum), Vancouver, BC.

Other demonstrations in the Northwest region include:

7:30pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at the Northlands Park, AgriCom Hall D Arena, 116 Avenue & 73rd Street, Edmonton, AB.

7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Indoor Arena, 14405 179th Street SE, Monroe, WA.

7:30pm, Saturday, September 13, 2003 at the Oregon State Fair & Exposition Center Stadium, 2330 17th Street NE, Salem, OR.

Through his process, called Join-Up, Roberts achieves in 30 minutes what it takes traditional horsemen an average of three weeks to accomplish. Without inflicting pain or fear, Roberts will persuade a raw horse to accept a saddle, bridle, and rider by creating a foundation of trust and understanding between man and horse. He will also work with at least three remedial horses--including buckers, kickers, biters, and bad loaders.

To date, Roberts has raised over $1.6 million USD for charitable organizations.

Roberts has gained worldwide recognition for successfully starting raw horses in a gentle, effective manner. Roberts has published three best selling books: The Man Who Listens to Horses, Shy Boy, and Horse Sense for People. His latest release, From My Hands To Yours, is the definitive guide to non-violent horse training and includes a dictionary of EQUUS, the language of the horse.

Roberts will be available for interviews. For additional information about Monty Roberts, call (805) 694-5965 or send an e-mail to val@montyroberts.com.

For tickets, call 604-280-4444 or visit www.ticketmaster.ca and all Ticket Centres, including InfoCentres in select major malls.

Stall DRY Deodorizer - Leading The Way in Stall, Barn & Trailer Absorbents

Stall DRY contains a natural blend of diatomaceous earth and montmorillonite with less than 1% crystalline silica, making it safe to use, non-toxic & non-caustic. Our clay is mined in large chunks, baked and crushed into different granular sizes for a multitude of applications.

The unique qualities of Stall DRY are:

1. It has a pH of less than 6, which neutralizes ammonia and thereby eliminating odors.
2. It absorbs 130% its weight in liquid. Therefore, you have drier stalls, pens, cages, trailers and barns.
3. The clay is very lightweight, giving you 80% more volume than other leading clays.
4. Provides greater coverage than other leading brands, up to 1000 sq. ft.
5. It is a natural insecticide, due to its composition of diatomaceous earth & montmorillonite.
6. With its high moisture absorbency, it helps to reduce the growth of bacteria.
7. Less odor and moisture means fewer flies.

Whether the surface is dirt, concrete, wood, metal or rubber mats, you apply a thin layer (approx. 4 to 5 pounds) of Stall DRY in the stall and your bedding is placed over the top. For daily maintenance apply 1/2 to 1 pound of Stall DRY over the wet bedding, then toss your bedding to allow Stall DRY to come in contact with the liquid to absorb the wetness and neutralize the ammonia.
