** Keep Your Horse Winter White With Cowboy Magic At winters’ start, you loved to see your horse active and enjoying cooler temperatures. But now, your horse has trampled the drifts, discovered puddles and gathered caked-on mud. After your winter rides, the dirt drips down from beneath his saddle pad, leaving streaking sweat stains. What can you do when temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit make it too cold to bathe your horse? Cowboy Magic declares war on winter dirt with its four-part grooming system: Green Spot Remover, Detangler and Shine, Dry Skin Lotion, and Krud Buster—all work without water and with natural ingredients. Green Spot Remover dissolves grease, salt and manure without bathing. Detangler and Shine keeps manes and tails manageable and repels excess dirt. Krud Buster keeps skin blemishes clean and reduces winter skin problems such as rain rot, ringworm, and scratches. Fragrance-free Dry Skin Lotion softens horses’ wind-blown skin and keeps your hands supple during and after cold-weather rides. After wiping the udder clean and squeezing the teat to make sure the wax plug is out of it, place the soft flange over the teat and gently lift the pump unit against the udder. A few pulls on the trigger creates a vacuum in the bottle and milk flows from the teat, filling the bottle with just a few more pumps. The new Udderly EZ Milker is much safer than bending under the mare to milk with your fingers and more comfortable to the mare; there's no friction on the teat to irritate tender skin. Veterinarians and breeding farms are discovering how easy it is to use – to collect and freeze colostrum for emergencies, obtain colostrum for feeding a foal that can't nurse, etc. The Udderly EZ Milker comes in several sizes and can be used for ponies, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, camels and miniature cows.

Photo by Mike Copeman – for Liz Pinkston photo Succeed™-Sponsored Rider, Liz Pinkston Wins Barrel Racing Average at the 2005 NFR Liz Pinkston and Speedy Doc Holiday fired hard at this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Barrel Racing and took home the top spot in the average for the event. Pinkston’s 10 rounds yielded an average of 142.65/10 and she finished in the money in five rounds. The result put Pinkston in 7th place in the 2005 Jack Daniel’s World Standings and meant the fulfillment of her goals for this year’s NFR. Pinkston credits Succeed™ Digestive Conditioning Program™ with helping foster good health for Speedy Doc Holiday (“Doc”), and keeping him focused during her 2005 campaign and throughout the NFR. Though talented around the barrels, Doc has not always had an easy time dealing with the stresses associated with the rodeo lifestyle. “We made sure Doc got his Succeed™ every day during the NFR,” Pinkston said. “It made a real difference for him -- his overall health, happiness and performance. I think he actually gained weight during NFR this year and that’s a big switch for this horse!”

New Research Study Proves Fastrack® Successful with Brood Mares and Foals
A recent brood mare trial conducted with Missouri Fox Trotters demonstrated the benefits of Fastrack® direct-fed microbials in the equine industry. The 150-day trial began 60 days pre-foaling and concluded 90 days post-foaling. Each mare receiving Fastrack was supplemented one ounce Microbial Pack daily.
All of the mares that received Microbial Pack conceived during the foal heat, compared to only 60 percent of the control mares. Foals nursing Fastrack® supplemented mares gained 10 percent (21.2 pounds) more weight from birth to 90 days of age than the foals nursing control mares. The differences in conception and foal body weight gain could be the result of enhanced feed utilization by the Fastrack® supplemented mares, and subsequently better body condition and improved milk quality and quantity produced.
The Fastrack® direct-fed microbial products feature beneficial bacteria, yeast components and enzymes, among other ingredients to promote the well-being and performance of horses, from birth to senior.
