Toby’s Taking Care of Business is a 15+H, CLEAR EYED (aa), with an amazingly calm disposition and willingness to please. Combine this with his natural strong animated gait, high head carriage, strong muscular build, beautiful dark chocolate color with mixed flaxen mane and tail, and you have a rare find in the gaited horse world.

Brighton Ridge Farms provides training, lessons, and consulting for show or trail. They enjoy teaching owners how to understand the horse and its gaits and take pride in the amateur rider program. Their goal is for the horse to be as happy as its new owner is. Their emphasis is on natural training methods. The number of horses in training is kept low to ensure quality time can be spent with each horse and rider.

The mountain horse has been bred in the hills of Kentucky for over 200 years. The breed is best known for its gentleness and smooth gait. It is an easy keeper and an excellent riding horse with a strong heart and endurance. Today the mountain horse is used as a pleasure horse for trail, competitive show and endurance riding.

Did You Know?
Gaited Mountain Horses generally gait at speeds from just faster than a walk to 12 miles per hour. Some can reach speeds as high as 20 miles per hour.
