JIM SQUIRES TO BE FRIDAY’S GUEST ON BLOODHORSE.COM “TALKIN’ HORSES”

Lexington, Ky. — Join author, breeder, and New York Times’ blogger Jim Squires for a special Friday pre-Preakness edition of BloodHorse.com “Talkin’ Horses” at BloodHorse.com/TalkinHorses sponsored by TrueNicks.com, on Friday, May 16, at noon EST (9:00 a.m. PST).

Squires is a contributing blogger to “The Rail” on the nytimes.com Sports section and is the breeder of five graded stakes winners, including Monarchos, winner of the 2001 Kentucky Derby. He is an owner of Two Bucks Farm in Versailles, Ky, and manager of Two Bucks Stable, which has eight horses in training. During his previous career as a journalist, Squires was the Chicago Tribune’s Washington D.C. bureau chief during the Watergate scandal. He went on to become editor of the Orlando Sentinel (a Tribune-owned paper) and the editor of the Chicago Tribune. After leaving the Tribune in 1988, Squires lectured at Harvard University, authored three books, and was Ross Perot’s campaign spokesman when the Texas  businessman ran for President in 1992 as the Reform Party candidate.
