Shelburne, VT — The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) Board of  Directors will hold its second quarter 2007 meeting in Shelburne,  Vermont, beginning Wednesday, May 2 through Saturday, May 5.
Directors from across the U.S. will gather to conduct strategic
planning (closed session), Registry Committee, Finance Committee, IT
Committee, Trust Committee, and General Membership Meeting.

In addition to several days of jam-packed business, the VT Morgan
Heritage Foundation and the AMHA staff will host a reception at the
AMHA headquarters and the National Museum of the Morgan Horse on
Friday evening, May 4. Vermont Governor, Jim Douglas, and other local
dignitaries will attend. Musical entertainment will be provided by
the Passacaille Trio, members of the Vermont Youth Orchestra
Association, courtesy of AMHA Executive Director’s husband, Tony
Humphreys, a classical music lover.

Executive Director, Julie Broadway, stated, “We are delighted to have
the Board and distinguished guests join us in Shelburne, especially
at this beautiful time of the year. Special thanks to the Vermont
Youth Orchestra for the Passacaille Trio and to Ruth Towne, Gladys
Severance, Anne Brown, and Polly Quinn of the Morgan Heritage
Foundation for hosting this lovely reception.”

The American Morgan Horse Association preserves, promotes and
perpetuates the Morgan breed. The Morgan Heritage Foundation is
dedicated to preserving and maintaining the presence of the AMHA in
Vermont. The National Museum of the Morgan Horse is dedicated to all
aspects of the Morgan horse breed through educational programs,
exhibits and special events.

The third quarter 2007 AMHA board meeting will be held in Buffalo,

Founded in 1909, the American Morgan Horse Association is a non-
profit organization serving more than 50,000 Morgan horse owners,
